Grinds My Gears part one.

Yes, I am taking a play on words from Peter Griffin.  Thank you, Family Guy.   This is one of my favorite sayings, because it’s true.  And there’s a lot that grinds my gears!

Today, we’re going to talk about workplace friendliness.  It really grinds my gears that you can work in the same building as someone, and you smile at them in the hallway and they just blankly stare back at you.  Uh, hello.  It’s called being polite.  It’s not like I’m some random stranger in the middle of nowhere creeping you out.  I work with you.  There are some people I used to smile at and they’d reciprocate, but as time went on, they decided to stop reciprocating so I’ve decided to stop even acknowledging those people.  You know what else is rude – there are people who give me dirty looks!  Excuse me!  You may or may not know me, but those who do know me, know I’m the friendliness and nicest person there is.  I understand some people have RBF (resting bitch face) and yea you can’t really help that but there are some ladies that just give me these awful stares.  What is your problem??

I miss the days when everybody was friendly and polite.  Where did manners go?  I like shooting a smile or saying a nice little hello or good morning to my co-workers.  Are people just that miserable they can’t reciprocate?  News Flash: it’s 2016 people, I was brought up with manners and just because we’re all into technology these days doesn’t mean you have to be rude.  Hey, if you’re not in the mood to talk, I get that, but every day?  Get over yourselves people.

Say hi.
